Computer softwares solve problems. Solving genuine problems requires a huge research effort and high learning curve. Research efforts are intrinsically associated with a
higher mortality rate. Sometimes problem is very difficult and software architecture/algorithm complexity is extremely high.
Whats popularly known as IT industry now a days (2000 A.D.) provides computer software based services such as an accounting software for a hotel. Complexity is not high and involves redoing the same stuff again and again.
Whenever a new problem is solved, software and innovators are highly appraised, recognized and rewarded with respect and money.
